Famous Florentines

Objective: The student will be able to explain the role Florence played in the Renaissance.

Renaissance Man (or woman):  educated person with many, varied talents and skills.
 
Directions: 

1. Use the Internet or your textbook to find information to complete the chart (handout provided in class).
2. In at least two sentences, explain how and why Florence came to be so influential during the Renaissance.
3. Review your map of Europe #1-10 locations and capitals.  Your Map Quiz is Tuesday.
4. Use your textbook on page RA10-11 and your map to test your knowledge.
5. Read about a planet made of diamond or one news article of your choice from CNN, Fox, or Google News.
6. Peruse the History Channel website and play a few games.
